Asbestos Containing Material Disposal

Services Provided: Tysam Tech managed the disposal of approximately 940 tons of asbestos-containing material following the demolition of the former ALCOA Plant at the St. Croix Renaissance Group Industrial Park. The project ensured proper handling, segregation, packaging, and disposal in full compliance with EPA and local USVI-DPNR regulations.

Scope of Work:

• Waste Analysis & Profiling: Sampled and classified asbestos materials for appropriate disposal.

• Regulatory Compliance: Adhered to EPA, DOT, USDA, OSHA, IMDG, IATA, and USVI-DPNR standards.

• Storage & Inventory Management: Maintained accurate waste records and ensured secure containment.

• Disposal Execution: Scheduled and coordinated asbestos removal, issuing a Certificate of Destruction upon project completion.

The project successfully mitigated environmental risks and ensured safe, compliant disposal of hazardous materials.
