Project: Episodic Chemical Waste Management and Disposal

Services Provided: Tysam Tech managed an unscheduled episodic chemical waste disposal event in St. Croix, USVI. The project involved testing, profiling, and disposing of 23,958 gallons (199,442 lbs) of waste within three months, ensuring compliance with EPA Episodic Event requirements while maintaining the facility’s Small Quantity Generator status.

Scope of Work:

• Waste Analysis & Profiling: Conducted thorough testing to classify and manage waste.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensured adherence to EPA, DOT, USDA, OSHA, and local USVI-DPNR standards.

• Storage & Inventory Management: Maintained proper organization and oversight of the waste storage area.

• Disposal Coordination: Scheduled and executed waste removal, providing a Certificate of Destruction upon completion.

The project successfully ensured regulatory compliance and environmental responsibility while streamlining waste management for future operations.
