Beach Well Design & Environmental Support

Services Provided: Tysam Tech provided design and environmental permitting support for the installation of an ocean pipeline intake system in St. Croix, USVI. The project aimed to develop a consistent water supply system capable of yielding 100 gallons per minute (gpm) and providing at least 115,000 gallons per day.

Scope of Work:

  • System Design & Permitting: Developed plans for the intake and discharge potable water lines.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Prepared and submitted permit applications for:

    • US Army Corps of Engineers (USACOE) Clean Water Act Section 404 Permit

    • Coastal Zone Management (CZM) Permit

    • Environmental Assessment Report (EAR)

    • Clean Water Act (CWA) Section 401 Water Quality Certificate (WQC)

    • Territorial Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (TPDES) Permit

    • Flood Zone Construction Permit

  • Environmental Impact Review: Ensured compliance with marine and coastal environmental regulations.

The project aimed to enhance water accessibility while maintaining environmental sustainability and regulatory adherence for long-term community benefit.
