Chemical Disposal Event

Services Provided: Tysam Tech managed the disposal of approximately 3,500 gallons of hazardous waste in St. Croix, USVI. The project involved compatibility reviews, separation of incompatible chemicals, and safe disposal in accordance with EPA and USVI-DPNR regulations.

Scope of Work:

• Waste Analysis & Profiling: Conducted sampling and classification of hazardous chemicals.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensured adherence to EPA, DOT, USDA, OSHA, IMDG, IATA, and USVI-DPNR standards.

• Storage & Inventory Management: Maintained proper waste organization and secure containment.

• Disposal Coordination: Oversaw the safe removal and destruction of chemicals, issuing a Certificate of Destruction upon completion.

The project ensured environmental compliance and safety, preventing hazardous exposure while streamlining hospital waste management.
